The Importance Of Baking: My Passion In My Life

I’ve been always told to follow my dreams. Finding a job that you 're truly passionate about is hard. There are so many people close to retirement that had never had the chance to find a job they are truly passionate about or the support to pursue their dream career. I always get asked about my plans for the future by family, friends, and even the occasional stranger, most of them support me not because of my set plans or even my skills, they say it 's the excitement and passion they see in my eyes when I 'm just simply talking about it. Baking has been a great influence throughout my life; The passion I have for it motivates me to pursue it as a career and to strive as a future student in the Arts Institute of Las Vegas.

My curiosity in baking began to grow at a young age. When I was around five my parents decided to run a donut shop. The experience was amazing! As I stood by my grandpa 's side, I remember watching him work with dough as he kneaded it and cut it into pieces. I can never forget the first time he pushed a piece of dough in front of me and asked if I could help him. My interests grew as I got older, a new show called the “Ace of Cakes” began and after watching the first episode I was hooked! As a student in the Arts Institute of Las Vegas I plan to bring the passion and love I have for the subject into the kitchen. I hope to motivate and help the other students as I know they will motivate me to work harder. Also, to bring profession to the kitchen by showing my focus and dedication to any projects. I don’t only plan to strive in the kitchen, but also in the classroom. My dream is to own a bakery and I know learning management, budget, planning as well as many other subjects are very important aspects to this. Strengthening my skills in both the kitchen and the classroom is a major goal I plan to fulfill at this
