It was a Saturday night and music filled the air. My older sister had invited me to Dallas to meet her new significate other and to take me to my first dance club. The sister of the woman ended up telling us and the police that the young lady went out to meet a guy and they ended up getting in a big fight. Out of anger, the woman went back to her car and sped away. Although she was extremely upset, she had previously taken her medication with alcohol which could have cause her to lose control of her car. Regardless, I thought back to what my father had told me. After the police took my statement and my phone number I never heard anything more about that woman. I never heard if she survived or died but I will never forget that lifeless look in her eyes, the cries from the family and the fear that is now engraved in my mind. I would never want anyone to go through what I did. My sister’s friend and I both have medical experience but going through that was like living in a nightmare. Don’t drive when your upset, just walk away and regroup. When your upset, you aren’t thinking normally, which could lead to something bad to happen. So please, don’t drink and drive or drive while you’re upset. It isn’t worth it to you, your family or the people around
