I remember it like it was yesterday. Waking up that morning, bright and early with a smile on my face for the events that would be happening that day. I remember speaking on the phone with a friend, while thinking about my car. I had just gotten my car a week ago. My father wanted me to start driving myself to school since I would be attending a different college than my sister. It was a shiny black honda civic. The wheels seemed to shimmer when the sunlight cascaded down on them. The windows were tinted black and it was the car I always dreamed of. A smile was temporarily etched to my lips as I spoke as loud as I could so she could hear me over the noise my little sister was making besides me. My mother was cooking in the kitchen and my older sister had taken her car to the hospital where she volunteered. It seemed like a normal day. I remember being excited and rushing …show more content…
It was a saturday so there weren 't many cars driving on the road. My mother was besides me in the passenger seat on the phone with her sister, while I listened to the slight hum of the car while we drove down the road. The windows were open, and the slight breeze was blowing against my face. Up ahead, I noticed your car swerving a bit but I couldn’t see your face. The wheels of your car kept overlapping on the other lanes but I decided to not mind it and just slowed down. My mother had warned me about driving while texting, and what could happen if you do. You were far away still when we reached the four way intersection. I stopped and waited for the light to turn green and noticed that you didn 't look like you were going to stop anytime soon. The road was long but your car was still coming into full speed. I remember being alarmed for your safety when the light had turned green. The car in front of me started driving, with my behind him, and the events that happened next seemed to go by so fast that I hardly remember how it was
