To begin the term off when we were introduced to the proper way of playing volleyball many of us found it actually quite awkward to hit the ball correctly. The closest thing I would be able to get to would be foot positioning that was transferrable over from tennis. Correct positioning of the feet allows a stronger base of support to prove more stability and accuracy to my shot. Another transferable skill I possess is hand-eye coordination. This skill is required in many ball sports. My hand-eye coordination has come from a few sports like touch football, tennis and cricket while it can also come from literature like handwriting (Encyclopaedia Of Children 's Health, n.d.). The video that shows how I started off with the overhand pass most definitely states that I have started off in the cognitive stage. The reason for this is being that many of my subroutines were wrong and my technique was out of form. The cognitive stage is a highly variable and inconsistent stage (unknown, 2008). My consistency of each shot out of the 7 I had done was quite high due to my limited knowledge and practice with this
