It came from my living room. I walked into the living room, and there was a man sitting on the couch in front of the TV. He was drinking a cup of Starbucks coffee and smiled at me when we made eye contact. I smiled back. I didn’t know who he was. In front of him on our coffee table was a gift wrapped in gift paper. It had a tag with someone’s name on it, but I couldn’t read it. I said hi and he said “Hi, I’m Mark.” I said “Hi Mark, I’m Nishant.” I then went on to asking him what he was doing in my living room. As soon as I asked him that, he got very quiet...and then it hit me - he was the driver of the Honda Civic. Once I realized that, it was too late. He became very sad. There was a feeling of guilt floating around in the room. He apologized, and said that he brought me something to lift my spirits. He said he got it because he was not careful enough, he said that he should have checked his brakes before he started driving fast. He pushed the gift box towards me, and told me to open it. I was hesitant at first because I had never met him before. I opened the box, and inside was a brand new camera (he later admitted to me that the camera was about a month old, but he had never opened it). I was thankful. As I turned on the light inside, I was both excited and confused as to what he got me. It was a brand new bike, blue and light with 28’’ wheels. It looked really nice. I was excited because I could finally go and spend some of my free time biking outside with friends and getting to places since I don’t have car yet. Although I was excited, I was also confused because my arm was broken so I wouldn’t be able to ride a bike for another 6 months or so. I reminded him about the fact that I
