Completing assessment one has helped me to develop more knowledge and skills such as formal writing style, language use, systemic rules and grammatical structure. As per Grellier and Goerke (2014) proofreading and editing helps writers to clearly understand the perception of the essay. Weekly readings, collaborations and blackboard activities have all helped me to improve my proofreading skills to identify grammatical and spelling errors in my essay. Additionally, using various grammar programs before submitting my essay will help to reduce grammar and spelling errors.
