Reflective Essay English 100 Class

Throughout English 100 I have come to understand and built my writing skills. In this portfolio I will include three of my writing pieces that I believe showed my improvements in writing throughout this English 100 class. My first writing assignment, my first major writing assignment and my third writing assignment are three writing assignments are the three writing pieces I am using. My overall improvement can be seen throughout these three writing pieces.
My first small writing assignment was one of my lowest grades of all my writing assignments. On this writing assignment I noticed that my use of words and wording along with punctuation. My use of words would be like you, we, have, had, etc., just small errors. My wording was just funny and if I had revised my paper more than once I would have caught the errors. Also, my punctuation was rough. The use of commas was really the challenge because I did not know when to use them. Considering that I have not written a “real paper” in a long time these three types errors that I had in my paper were just stepping stones to writing even better than this one. Throughout this assignment the main things that got me was my use of words, wording and some commas. I improved on my writing skills but it was not a big leap, it was a small step. Even though this grade was not my highest at the time this assignment was graded I was happy to see small improvements. I got an 85 on another assignment before this, but the reason I put it in here was because it showed my improvement of my writing skills and the good use of my quotes. I am really proud of this paper not just because of my improvement, but my use quotes. The way the quotes were integrated with my sentences it all flowed very nicely. This assignment is something I am really proud of, but on the third major writing assignment I was also proud of my quotes
