What I’ve learned in English class this year
What have I learned from my English class this year? When my Sophomore year began, I had no clue how it would go. Everyone that has been Sophomore before, said that this year would be harder than your freshman year. When I first heard this, I was like “What?, For real?” while I was chuckling under my breath and saying to them “ It’s going to be a piece of cake for me this year”. Then when it came to the start of the new school year I was like “Oh man ,I’m already struggling in school and am also trying to play basketball at the same time. At first I said to myself what am I going to do if I’m struggling in school right now, but then I realized that I’ve been struggling because I have bad study habits. I started to change the ways of my studying every day instead of being a couch potato and just staring at the TV watching sports for hours on daily basis.
This year in English class, I’ve learned that if you want to become a better writer, you have to use some of your creative writing skills. Also I have learned how to use my reading skills while

This is a 90 minute documentary produced by BBC on 7 August 2005 in the United Kingdom, written and directed by Paul Wilmshurst. It tells the story of the crew who flew the mission of Hiroshima and dropped the bomb, and focuses on the story of the people of Hiroshima who were the first ever victims of the nuclear retract. This movie can be also a drama or history one, as it touches emotions at specific points regarding the after-effects of the nuclear explosion. In addition, background music keeps changing (when it necessary) from one situation to another, especially while viewing the bomb's descend to the ground, and while telling stories by Japanese survivors after the attack. Furthermore, the use of match cuts establishes a well-developed…

Having experienced this, I learned that my passion was in making a difference in other people's’ lives. I know I am driven to spend the rest of my life doing it.…

Literacy Narrative I did a lot of writing while I was in the tenth grade. The English teacher I had at the time was the best when it came down to writing. I did not have too much interest in writing at the time but Mrs. Perez changed that, she gave me a new perception on writing and how it can change society. Mrs. Perez would always recommend really good books, one of which was a book called “His Dark Materials”. This story is about a young girl and her allies, fight for the discover of a dark substance called the “Dust”.…

This English class has been very helpful in my efforts to improve my writing abilities, but has also been very challenging due to there being a different median for every essay. It’s been a heavy work load especially this semester since I decided to enroll in five classes, but in the end it has been very beneficial indeed. I can’t say that writing essays has been one of my strong points but I believe that this course has helped me improve tremendously and it has also made me feel a lot more comfortable with my writing. While in high school I would usually write all of my essays a day before the due date a habit of mine that was very difficult to overcome, but now I have learned from my mistakes.…
