This passion for education came at an early age when I spent weekends on a college campus with my twenty -four years old sister who started her career as a college lecturer. I got a chance observe college professors from a distance and eventually enrolled in the same college to pursue a career in teacher education. For a year I tried to convince myself that the field of education was not my future and would get the qualification and venture into a more lucrative profession. I also believe that that experts in this field will become important in teacher training institutions. Part of my plan is to get qualified in this field and even work with student teachers. The skill set that I will gain from this program will become beneficial to me as well as the school system in which I will work.
Acquiring a doctorate will definite pave the way for advancement in your career. Not only will it make you more marketable but it will provide you with the expertise to become a specialist in your particular field of study.
