Personal Statement: A World Without Education

In my brief fifteen year old life I’ve had many experiences with education, I’m very fortunate to have these experiences that not many people can have or be able to experience. I am very thankful and fortunate to have these resources and education throughout the years. I strongly believe that education is the strongest and most useful weapon in this world we live in, a world without education is a world I do not want to live in world without education is a world without a future no hope or expectations to fulfil us there would be no medicine,government, to be direct we wouldn't have a civilization. There are many good experiences and with good experiences there will always be bad experiences. What I hope to gain in TASS is to have a more open mind set, get out of my comfort zone, explore my endless possibilities, I believe it will help me better understand ethnics and black studies and try to explore different topics other than black and ethnic studies it can also inspire me to grow more as an individual and as a scholar develop in writing, reading, discussion skills, etc. TASS is a great opportunity to take advantage of, I believe it will challenge me to think at a college level, it can also help develop my social skills, try and get a feel for college life, deliver speeches, receive feedback to learn how to improve how I deliver my speeches. Attending TASS will help broaden my interest in different subjects,and will definitely impact me even after the experience and to also take other summer programs.
