My Driving Experience Analysis

Getting my driver’s license was an experience. I studied day and night for my permit and aced the test. My mother, who wanted me to endlessly practice backing up and “be careful!”, my driving instructor emphasizing the importance of allowing extra time to get from one place to another safely, and all the do’s and don’ts of the road. The DMV driving instructors putting in perspective, not by words but by actions, the importance of their job. That I would get my license through worthiness, not because I had places to go and a new freedom to enjoy. From these failed attempts …show more content…
I will continue to be a student and a teacher through words and actions, so that I may become a better person, citizen, and hopefully an inspiration to never give up on the end

On September 9th, 2016 I was a passenger in rear-end car accident. At the young age of seventeen, I was ignorant, rebellious and negligent. At this time, I honestly believed that I knew it all and was always in the right; I would ignore anyone trying to guide me towards the right path or give me advice. As in the short story “Rain of Fire” by Evan Thomas, I would have never expected that a regular day could end up in such catastrophe. I learned not to trust those whom I have not gotten to know well enough.…

The more I thought about this stuff though, the more I didn’t like where my thoughts headed. So again, I tried to block it all out of my mind for the time being thinking that a little break from all this negativity might just be what I needed to refocus myself. So, I decided to concentrate my thoughts on what I needed to do to get my driver’s license and some wheels already. I definitely knew that it meant being on my best behavior for now on if I wanted my parents to be the ones to buy me a car. Otherwise it meant I would be turning to the want ads where New York’s version of Ray Boone might be lurking and would soon be trying his damnedest to slide a finger or two down the crack of my ass.…

My mom would let me drive every once in a blue moon but I would scare her so bad that she eventually stopped that. By this time I had my Toyota siting in my drive way for about two months and its nothing more frustrating than to walk past your own car to go catch a bus. So I complained to my grandmother and she said well just come try and wing the test in Smithfield. She said it’s just long roads, you should pretty much be the only person on the road at the time and, and I’m pretty sure that the test instructor would go easy on you. Me being a nervous Nancy I tried to gather up all the courage I could and just go take the test.…
