Becoming An Electronaut Research Paper

As I sat down to fill my college application, I found myself stuck with so many different decisions. Dreams. Paths to my future. I mean, it’s scary to fathom the idea that college might determine your life career. Think about what parents do to college students when they hear they have switched majors. Money is tight. I could have set my major as ‘undeclared,’ but I wanted to be assertive about college. I needed to take a chance. More than anything, I pledged my entire childhood to becoming an astronaut. To be truthful, I still gravitate towards becoming an astronaut today. My parents took me to the science museum twice a month, both in my birth city of Boston and in my previous home in Houston. After my junior year of high school, I applied for a (very slim) chance to work alongside NASA engineers and advisors, which definitely became a new learning experience with science, but also a learning experience as a leader. Different experiences, same feeling of excitement. I’ve always had the urge to keep learning new information; after all, astronauts had to be very smart! I took a random chance, and I became a top-competing animator. And to be honest, that’s what college is about. Finding your strengths and weaknesses. Your core values. Taking chances (while avoiding student debt). In fact, I found how much I hate engineering and physics through animation; I only did these courses because of my fervent passion for outer space. Looking back at the memories and life I’ve lived, I’m humble how each experience has matured me. I want to become a leader. I want to inspire others. I want to be a person people can trust. When I attend college in the fall, I’ll be excited to show others not just my skill as an animator, but as a person who has (figuratively and may still possibly) been to the moon and
