My Dream Like A Dream Come True

I come from a family that has little to nothing. We live by what people would say “paycheck to paycheck.” So we’ve done things that may seem silly or weird to others, but for me, I like to think that it’s something funny to tell in the future. Which is true because now I can make jokes and use some of my mistakes or things like that to make people laugh or to grow from it. My family can be considered somewhat heavy on education; even if we didn’t have much, my parents still told us education is important. My siblings and I-- especially me-- find school important to us as well, which is why I’m applying to this college. I don’t want to be in the same situation as my parents now, struggling and trying to make ends meet for my family in the future. I do not only want to go to this college for myself but also to prove to my family that I can get out of this rut. So going to this college would be like a dream come true. Then as I grew older my passion went towards somewhere else. As I was getting older I found that people tend to confine with me and asked for advice, although I didn’t have much to give people said that they could trust me and that they were glad that they can talk with someone. It made me happy knowing that I helped someone by just listening to them talk and give my input here and there. I looked for careers that had to deal with similar and then I learned about what was psychology. I soon began to search up different types of psychologist and really liked the idea of becoming a clinical psychologist. In the end I’m learning to relax more and hopefully this will help me for my future profession. That being in this college would not only help me get the degree I need but to help me broaden my mind, to meet new and nicer people. I would always say that this year will be my year and hopefully 2018 will be the year where I grow some more and learn to let loose and be more

I discounted anything from the medical field because everyone was going there and I didn't want to be a lost number of people rushing to the same career, I wanted to be a little different.…
