My dream is to start my own technology company because that is the best way to ensure that I can work on something that excites me as well as having a positive impact for society. I understand that my dream would be challenging to accomplish, which is why I am planning early. After I get my bachelor’s degree, I plan to pursue an MBA to develop my skills in project management. I want to make an impact in people’s lives and because many aspects of our lives involve mechanical engineering, from housing to transportation, I want to pursue this major to build my technology company. I understand that my dream would be challenging to accomplish, which is why I am planning early. In order to gain experience in management and operations, I plan to work for a technology firm and basically learn how to run a company. I want to make an impact in people’s lives and a good way to do that is by improving the quality of healthcare through advancement in technology, which makes biomedical engineering the best major for me. Biomedical engineering interests me in the way that it works with engineering principles in order to provide a better healthcare for people. For hands on experience in biomedical engineering, I joined Engineering World Health (EWH), an organization that uses engineering skills to improve global health. There, I am learning how to implement the engineering design process to make a device for solving a health problem in a region.
