Descriptive Essay On My Doll

In my doll I wanted to represent a young happy girl. My doll has long black hair, brown eyes, and is wearing a skirt with a shirt. Her skirt is red and her shirt is green. I chose these colors because these colors represent my Mexican culture. As a child I loved to wear long flowing skirts. The doll shape is round and big, it does not represent a realistic body shape. My doll is dressed very simple, which reflects my style. We have the same crazy black hair and the same colored eyes. My doll looks happy and ready to play.
My doll’s name is Gaby. She is 6 years old. She lives with her mother, grandma, grandpa, 2 older brothers and 1 little brother. Her mom is always very busy working. Her grandma looks after her when her mom is away. She likes to help with chores. She likes watching over her little brother. Her 2 older brothers are very protective of her. She loves all of her brothers. She loves living with her grandparents and her mom.
When the doll was 10, her mother decided to marry again. She had to move to a new city that was 6 hours away from her home town. Her 2 older brothers could not come with her. She had to move to many different schools until she found the right one. She also gained 2 little brothers. She

I have lived through many difficult things in my life that I feel can help me relate to others. I come from an extended and unique family structure. I had to grow up very fast. I was rebellious against my own culture. I moved out of my home when I was 17. I have had many experiences that have helped me become the person I am now. I believe that now because of these experiences, I am a strong, independent, hard working person that wants to protect and help others. I have also learned to be fun, laugh and not take things too seriously because life happens and things change and we should always stay positive. I think that these qualities will help me become a good, positive teacher in the

Heroine, a woman admired or idealized for her courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. The movie Daisies directed by Věra Chytilová in 1966 is filled with copious amounts of symbolism and characteristics of the Czech New Wave film style. While the elements of consumption and destruction are some of the most prominent themes discussed by filmmakers, I believe it is the collaging and fragmentation of the editing in relation to the feminist ideology and thought process that stood out the most in this film. Following the credits at the start of the movie and the clips of bombs exploding, Daisies opens up with a very pivotal and crucial scene to the movie.…

In today’s society people see celebrities become trapped within their personas all the time. Amanda Bynes, Lindsay Lohan, Justin Bieber and countless other public idols have, seemingly, just gone off the deep end. But this isn’t new, we’ve seen it millions of times throughout history. We see it in stars, such as Elvis Presley or Marilyn Monroe, as well as in movies such as The Devil Wears Prada, and even in older works such as H. Ibsen’s play, A Doll’s House, first performed in the 1870’s. People crumble in on themselves as they try to stand against the imaginary ideal of who society believes that they should be, as shown through Nora in A Doll’s House by Henrik Ibsen.…

A Doll’s House ends when Nora leaves her house, husband, kids and her position in the society she belongs, to confront the world by herself. An argument with Torvald, her husband, prompts the disillusioned Nora to take this drastic decision. At the beginning of the play we see a Nora as a childish, silly, superficial and consumerist woman; and Torvald as the loving husband, only provider of the house, who in a very subtle way controls his wife’s actions and expenses. A Doll’s House, by Henrik Ibsen, is a play that stands up as a great example of realism. There are many aspects in the play that represent realism, such as; the way it portrays the lives, concerns, and problems of people of middle and low class. Also, the what idealizes realism as one of the best type of plays is how the dialogue is like everyday speech and conversations. My drawing is consisted of Nora’s head, and in her head, there’s a house, her house. I chose this to draw because you can tell a lot from what you see.…
