These accommodations were focussed in three main ones , these are extended time, helping hand ( physical help in things that involve the use of another hand), writing examinations in a quiet place. One of the main important accommodations that I received, during my previous secondary school is having help when working in labs and in anything that needs the use of two hands having this accommodation was very crucial, since a lot of times one needs to use two hands, especially in lab work. This accommodation was also very important to grantee safety in labs, especially when dealing with toxic chemicals .Another important accommodation was having extra time in school work including tests, assignments and exams and sometimes in lab work as well. This was a crucial accommodation, because a lot of times during examinations I become so stressed out that I may leave the paper empty out of fear and stress, even if I know the answer. The accommodation of writing examinations in a quiet room, helped me a lot because it helps me focus more better and more efficient. These types of supports were really important for helping me succeed, helping to get better grades and to adjust better to the schooling

As a matter of consideration, welfare may create dependency in children of those adults who are recipients. Family welfare cultures are when welfare received by the parents increases the involvement of children in welfare programs. The goal of Boys & Girls Clubs is: “to provide a world-class Club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school, on time, with a plan for the future.” As a Club staff with little weight behind me to support this goal, it makes me a stone’s throw away from being labeled a hypocrite when I almost didn’t graduate from high school, let alone have a plan for the future. My childhood wasn’t glamorous enough to brag about, nor was it full of grief-stricken struggles that would warrant a tug at any heartstrings. It was simple. I grew up with both of my parents and my brother who was 4 years my senior.…

This improved my patience as I had to wait for them to finish before we could move on. This was extremely difficult when I was paired with two students of different abilities and I would often have to find extension tasks for the higher ability student to do whilst the lower ability student caught up. This helped me use my own initiative as I would set them tasks such as reading what they had written to make sure they understood it whilst the other children finished their work. I improved my visual communication skills by using a whiteboard to employ visual aids to help the children such as drawing pictures so they can understand the words. I also became familiar with the computer program ‘Widget’ which puts basic pictures alongside corresponding words.…
