As I mentioned in a previous post, the amount I eat each day varies so I am not surprised that in some areas I am lacking certain vitamins, minerals, or other dietary nutrients. The diet analysis is not 100% accurate because it tricky to enter certain foods, yet, it does give us a general idea of how our diets are. To improve my nutrient density of my diet I have to eat more veggies and fruits. I know that sometimes I only eat one serving of veggies and fruits, which is not enough so my plan is to eat more fruits as snacks and add more veggies to my lunch and dinner. I already include a lot of chicken and fish into my diet so I can probably add meat to my diet a bit more often. Plus, I only eat wheat and whole grain bread and toritllas, I think my issue sis that I do not consume enough calories in the day to reach the DRI goals for the vitamin intakes.
