My Definition Of America

Decent Essays
The word America has an infinite number of definitions. We could scour the dictionary and get definitions such as “United States.” However, those definitions aren’t the same thing that we as Americans feel. Our definitions are “the united people,” and “the land that we love.” Those definitions have more meaning than any dictionary will ever have. Those definitions come from tragedy; things like war and terrorist attacks. They also come from the good times like the Olympic games. And for those of us who have never lived through them, we can learn from those who did. That’s America’s gift to my generation; education.
My generation is blessed by America to be able to go to school each day. We can attend school and learn, which opens our worlds
