I can relate to Jeffrey Gallet’s story and am not surprised by the lack in resources, time school staff utilized to actually work with him on a particular concept(s) that he struggled with, and the verbal abuse that he received, due to the learning disability(ies) that he possessed. I was inspired by his story. It moved me so much so that I desire to share my grade school story with the class. I did not have a learning disability that I knew of, but I did have a lot going on outside of the four walls of the classrooms that I sat in.
