My decision to attend college is directly related to the education received in my childhood and the family environment that I grew up in. I was raised with the idea the education and knowledge are a fundamental part of life. My family always directed me to feel motivated about my future and to set personal growth as a goal through constantly learning something new.
Although I had the option of attending college in Lexington, I decided to attend to ECTC, because I am interested to remain living with my family in Elizabethtown, and reinforced by the good references about ECTC given by different institutions and different people. My mother says that “higher education is not a right but a privilege, which I must honor with my effort’’.
