My Daring To Act Response

One circumstance and importance to me was during the last moments of my mother’s life as she was surrounded by her loved ones, as she slowly slipped away with cancer into the morning by faith, grace, mercy, and peace. I cannot begin to express how hard it was for me to stand there before her at that last minute and watch my mother give her last breath to let go and say my last respects to my loving mother. She met and married my dad, the love of her life and he showed no love or affection for her that I saw growing up. Seeing my mom unhappy, turned in to unhappiness for me. Did this unhappiness cause the cancer to grew and for her to give up? When she died a part of me died! Life for her just wasn’t happy. I am not able to completely …show more content…
If only I had the courage and faith she had, then I might have done better in school and in life. It wasn’t until my mother’s passing that I learned what faith was and how much my mother had in her. Today, each goal that I strive for I’m achieving because my mother for she always had faith in me. She believed I could do anything that I put my mind too. Her dedication to God inspired me to be the person that I am striving for today. She always had a way of showing me her love and care by pushing me to have a successful life. Regardless of the circumstances, she and God are the ones who has helped me get to where I am today. This is why I'm determined to go even further in life. I learned my mother was right when she told me not to settle for less, but settle for the best and to always have faith and keep my eyes on my father in heaven. I'm still a bit afraid to get to that higher level, but I’m learning to overcome this fear and keep my faith to gain my potential as high as my goals can take me in life by daring to act with this gift that was given to me from my
