My Pursuit Of Community Service

NHS Essay
My contribution and participation is something I have provided in everything I do, especially when it comes to service and clubs. My greatest examples can be seen in Girl Scouts, FCCLA, and Debate where I helped whenever I could. I hope my efforts and my reflection of the four pillars is seen in my examples.
Girl Scouts is my strongest and youngest pursuit of community service through an organization. It is where I truly made strides to go farther than just attendance, and where I started seeking ways I could help the community. I participated in many events including a visit to a college where we helped three different charity organizations by creating dog toys, sandals, and bracelets from recycled cloth and beads. However, my most

FCCLA also provided me with multiple opportunities to further help my community, and I believe my participation in their events shows that I can provide needed ideas and supplies that can benefit many services. My most prominent service work for FCCLA can be seen in Christmas social for little kids in the PAC. I signed up for PRIDE to assist one of the leaders with new ideas for crafts, layout, and design. I showed up early for the event to help set things up, and even though I was in charge of admission I helped out where needed. I think the most memorable difference I made was providing a Christmas tree for the little kids to put their snowflakes on. It really was a finishing touch and was happy to know that I could help in a bunch of little ways. Sadly, I no longer participate in this club, but I know that my contributions would greatly help NHS in its …show more content…
First of all, I participated in many debate meetings, tournaments, and fundraisers. I provided needed transportation to tournaments when needed by Mr. Rankin, for if I hadn't many kids wouldn’t have been able to go to the tournaments they wanted. Second, I helped out in tournaments through concessions or other tasks such as securing layouts of classrooms. In concessions my family, friends and I volunteered, we also provided cookies for purchase, and we helped set up the tables and supplies. Also, I carried supplies from the cars to the Cafeteria, and I helped in the Judge's lounge. Finally, for fundraisers, we provided a car to carry the flags that were being placed in front yards for money. I also helped place the flags myself, and my dad did too. Although I no longer participate in Debate, I still plan on supporting my club whenever I can, and I hope to do the same for

Leadership is imperative to supporting the foundation of succession in our society. It is important that we exercise our God given right to utilize our sphere of influence to the best of our abilities. Although leadership may gain you more recognition throughout society it is not about the affluence one can acquire; leading is solely about guiding others down a path of success so that future generations can more easily learn from our mistakes to pass down to the next generation. That is why I believe mentoring and any position of leadership should be central to young adults to set the example for the impactful youth. I found my sphere of influence to be within the academic driven chapter of the National Honor Society which in my senior year I was elected president.…

I have always known that I wanted to serve in the justice system; the concept has constantly been reaffirmed in my mind as new life experiences continue to lead me in that direction. The problem with that particular direction is that it has several paths to take, and deciding which path to take takes a lot of time and consideration in order to make the best choice. Over time, I have realized that my individual strengths and personality are best suited to succeed in the legal field rather than the political or law enforcement areas of the justice system. One of my first experiences that led me to this conclusion was my involvement in Big Brothers Big Sisters. As a Big Sister, I learned that there are many children in the world that need an…
