My Cultural Identity

Culture identity is all around the world. Everywhere and anywhere many different people appear. From Chinese to hispanic, african americans to caucasians. Some might say where all the same inside, but the reality is how people represent their culture. I for one am not a genius, intelligent, oriental person you want me to be. Most latinos/ latinas find speaking and different language called “Spanish” part of their culture. They’re used to eating food they grow. They’re used to celebrating a fiesta to present who they are. They’re used to being soft-spoken and often quiet. However, i’m not similar to most latinos. Since i am from Texas, but now live in Louisiana. Many people get surprised, when they ask where i'm from. They think at this time in my life, i should already be on my own. A Lot of my family members already think of me as someone going to make a difference. But others think i'm going to fail miserable in life. They believe i will not consider going to college to get my masters, but guess what they’re wrong. Honestly it gets to me after awhile of thinking about, why they think that way. When someones tells me i can't do anything, i will use all that I have in me just to prove them wrong. I’m completely against all the negative things that happen around me, family, and others. Some teenagers do drugs and even break laws just to prove a point, but i'm not that person. I spend time with family and friends that encourage me to reach success in life. Because i was born in America. I have the right to speak my mind. Although because of this, some people think it’s wrong when i believe what's right. The only spoken language on mine is english, but my some of my family in Texas can speak both spanish and english. Growing up my grandma spoke some spanish to me, but never really understood it. I can pronounce some words and speak some sentences. But hearing most people around me speak english makes it harder for me to understand
