My maternal grandmother was from Spain, and grandfather from Germany. It is such a coincidence that they were all from very different cultural backgrounds, but love saw past all their differences and put them together. Part of the customs and traditions which we practiced during the holiday included dancing the tango during holidays; shown to us by some aunts and uncles. My parents also informed us that they used to practice the same kind of dances when they were younger. She ensured that my mother got a part time job when she was on holiday and after school. She taught my mother to plan so that the money she saved was kept aside for a specific noble purpose such as the down payment of a mortgage or for starting out a business. Looking back to all the things that she encouraged her children to do so as to get higher income; my grandmother might have seemed frugal. However, I look at my mother and her siblings, and the personal financial planning knowledge that she has passed onto her family, and understand that being frugal at the time was needed and is now appreciated. The knowledge has also been passed onto my generation, and I intend on using it so as to maximize on the financial knowledge and planning that I hold and will continue to use. My family’s greatest concern, at a young age was getting good education. My grandparents and parents held the belief that good education was the basis for a good future as it would assist one in getting a good job. They also believed that a good education taught one the needed life experiences and not just allowing an individual to be smart in terms of the books that they had read. They encouraged their children to form good friendships since networking is as important as ensuring that one does the right course in their education to enable them find a good …show more content…

I hear an idea that I like and I run with it. I have to say, it has worked out pretty well for the most part and created some exciting stories.
