Marywood University Core Values Essay

Improved Essays
Catholic Identity, respect, empowerment, service, and excellence are all five of Marywood University core value. Learning about the core values has encouraged me to create goals for myself for the up and coming future. These goals I will become to value and strived for on a daily basis if possible. Accomplishing these goals will show the effort that I put in. These are my goals:
By the end of my freshman year in college I hope to achieve the skill of time management. I plan on doing this by making a schedule for certain things in my day for when i 'm not in class, and if I am to run over on time I will note that as something I have to work on. I believe that this goal is very achievable knowing that this is important to me and knowing it will have an impact on my future. This goal ties into the core values by the values of empowerment and excellence. They into the goal by me teaching myself a new skill that will help benefit me in my future career.
Knowing that I am an Architecture student here at Marywood University, within my five years I hope to achieve becoming more creative. I plan on doing this by challenging myself in every design class to try, and make my designs different in ways that I wouldn 't have tried before. What I mean by that is to stick to the rules the design instructor gives us, and then not play

I plan on doing this by making set times in my day everyday for certain things that I want to do. And by cleaning up more often to keep things in place. I believe that this goal is pretty achievable knowing that this is important to me and the things that I want to do in my everyday life. Also knowing it will have an impact on my future as far as staying organized. This goal ties into the core values by the values empowerment and excellence.
