SC5 Demonstrated commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and a capacity to reflect on, evaluate and improve professional knowledge and practice.

My commitment and contribution to school activities began in my own schooling. As a student at school I was always looking for new programs and extra school activities to get involved with. In my final year alone I became a School Prefect, a House Co-Captain and a Platoon CUO. Whilst maintaining a high level of academic achievements, I also got involved with the school musicals, the Saturday Morning Sports program and was on the year 12 video committee. My passion for getting involved and committing to school activities has stayed with me in my transition to becoming a teacher. During practical placements and experiences I am always looking for other ways that I can contribute to the school community. My commitment to extracurricular activities is reflective of my desire to be a life-long learner. I am constantly seeking new skills to attain in both my personal life and professional development. In the last four years I have completed numerous Professional Developments to ensure that I am constantly furthering my teaching capacity, skills and expertise.
