My College Goals

When I was in high school, I was not really prepared to what would now become my life as a college student. People tell you that college is a lot of work and that you have to focus, but sometimes that is not enough to prepare high school students actually accept that their lives are about to change. I can say that, that happened to me. I was not fully prepared for college. However, that does not mean that I did not do anything in my power to make sure that I made that transition from being a high school student, to a college student. Now that I am a freshman in college, I am beginning to see what goals I envision for myself in the future. One of them is graduating from a university with a bachelors degree. I do not know for sure whether I will pursue a career in law or a career in business, however I do know for sure that I want to get my diploma on one of those fields. …show more content…
Throughout high school I volunteered at the Night Nation Music Festival, which is a festival that has partnered with Stand Up To Cancer to help raise money for people with this condition. In addition to this, I have volunteered for PBS Kids. As a volunteer, I was in charge of fixing the set for a live broadcast that was going to go live. I have volunteered at other places such as Houston Food Bank. As of volunteering while in college, so far I have only volunteered at senior homes. During the time I volunteered, I helped the staff and nurses do simple every-day routines like visiting patients and making sure they had everything they needed. Although, I have not volunteered after that, I have the intention of looking for a non profit organization that is looking for volunteer so I can offer my
