While in high school, I did not fully grasp nor understand the importance of an education. A lack of vision, focus, and comprehending the key role of school is what led to my failure as a student that academic year. Still unsatisfied, I overlooked the increase in my GPA because I knew I was capable of doing much better. As I went into the spring semester, I now had the motivation to exceed my previous successes. With my goals in tow and working hard, I was awarded honorable standing on the academic Deans List. Facing academic hardship and really looking inward has helped me to sustain my desire to learn and want to do well. My time and experiences at CCRI has molded me into a student now ready to continue my college journey at a four-year college.
