Throughout my education I’ve had to face various difficult hardships which is a constant reminder of how hard I need to work to succeed. Dealing with these hardships has fueled me to stay on the road to success. Receiving a Bachelors Degree for the first time in my family’s history, learning the skill of Communication in which I’m most passionate about, and being apart of a tight niche Community inside and outside of the classroom are all stepping stones toward my success. When there is passion behind the work I do, it fuels me to work for the change I believe is possible.

I grew up very independently, teaching myself how to do things on my own such as tie my shoes, ride a bicycle, and seeking out hobbies which allowed me to express my spirited personality. I joined a cultural club at College of Alameda where I was surrounded by a diverse and brilliant group of people. They showed me the importance of expressing who you are and what you believe in openly. It really stuck with me that I wanted to keep improving that aspect of my life.
