Preparing for the first day of clinical experience was very exciting. My goal going into the clinical site was without expectations, aside from making every interaction as an experience that is positive and educational. When arriving to the nursing /rehabilitation home, I was a lot calmer, then I thought. The fragrance of the institution was a new fragrance for me, not sure if there is specific word to describe it, but for me it will be forever the memory of the fragrance I noticed as I took several steps into the institution. In terms of visual aspect, it reminded me of the prior institutions that was relatable to this one. The areas were clean, and with friendly staff who were getting ready for the day. I reminded myself to remember how I felt at that moment, because years from now, I will be the one who will be getting ready for the work. Many of the staff welcomed us to the site with smiles. The documentation is still on the paper format, seemed very intimidating to look at the quantity of the documents that each binder contained. For the staff, I noticed there was one Registered Nurse, and CNA for the unit that consisted of 24 residents, and a Doctor for the institution.

(SU, 2016) The second patient that my partner and I were assigned to was a patient with conditions of diabetes mellitus with complications. I performed the bed bath with best of my abilities, and did integumentary assessment, but definitely omitted large parts of the physical assessment. In retrospect, my focus was so much on doing the bed bath right and checking the integumentary that other areas of physical assessment lacked my attention. Therefore, I will need to review and continue to practice physical assessment. The patient did talked about his career and family, he smiled when he talked about his
