I am not a member of many groups but one group I am a member of is my church, Shekinah Worship Centre, Bermuda of Shekinah Worship International Ministries. I started attending SWIM in December 2012 and became a member in May 2013. Since that time many changes have taken place. Since joining many others have joined, including about twenty teenagers. I have also watched as our sound changed as we have gained as well as lost members of our band and praise team.

There are mainly formal roles that exist in this group. The formal roles that exist include the Pastor who is responsible for leading the people and ministering throughout the week. It also includes the executive leadership and deacon board that have the role of assisting the Pastor’s vision and to be another point of contact for the congregation. Of course there are also informal roles that exist in the various ministry departments. For example, because I was the oldest and do not like to waste time I informally became the leader of Army for Christ.

The role of Pastor came about by our Pastor deciding that she was going to break off from her then current church and start her own ministry. The executive leadership and deacon board alike were chosen by the Pastor through her observations, prayer, and the guidelines set in place by the founding board of trustees.

One rule that exists in the group is that we all stand when the Bible is being read. If it seen that you are not standing, whoever is about to read from the

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…

This is due to the fact that there are pastors who do not have sound doctrine which leads to wolves invading the flock. One must be called into pastoral ministry by God in order to do this important work.…

Introduction The concept of “church” was started as the tabanacle where the Ark of Covenent was placed (Old Testament). Then it was transferred into the “Temple building” where people experienced God’s presence. When Jesus came to dwell among people, He was the Temple instead of the building. He confirmed it; “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days” (John 2:19 NIV).…
