As a teenager in the 21st Century, I am definitely up for a challenge. Ever since I was young I have enjoyed doing harder work than other people for various reasons. When I have a challenging assignment I tend to put more effort into whatever the assignment may be. Whether it is an essay for English or making a pinata for Spanish, I will take hours out of each day and put it towards making those assignments the best I have ever completed. Being an astronomer will require responsibility, a higher education, hard work, and dedication. Normally to become an astronomer it takes 4 years for your bachelor’s degree in science, then 2 more years for a Master’s degree, and finally 3 additional years to complete your PhD program. To become an astronomer you have to be used to working hard and being challenged with the difficulties of harder assignments. College for astronomy will take 9 years to get where I want to be in the astronomical program which means dedication and working hard will be very necessary. Being successful is one of the most important aspects in my life and my future depends on my education. Honors classes would help me reach my goal of having a higher level of education and being used to the work that is needed to be put in when you are doing a more difficult task than others. Honors classes tend to hold my attention more too considering that we have a tendency to go over more engrossing subjects than the regular classes do.
