For the next six to eight weeks, I walked around in a cast having learnt my lesson. I feel like this experience sort of represents my life in a way. Sometimes when you 're not careful, you fall down but when you get up, you develop some experience and wisdom. From childhood, to school life and to the present, what’s in store for the future is a complete mystery. During my childhood, I went through life as any other ordinary child would. Despite saying this, I did however experience some unique events through my early years, my family and preschool. A memory that I enjoy the …show more content…
I have a vision of where I would like to go after high school, my future career and where I see myself in twenty years. I am not going to let anything stop me from pursuing those dreams. First of all, after high school, I would of course want to go college but for which program I am not completely sure yet. I either want to go to Dawson for imaging diagnosis or Vanier for respiratory therapist. I chose two jobs in medicine because that is the field of study that I am the most interested in. If I were to choose between radiologist technician and respiratory therapist I would most likely choose respiratory therapist. The reason why is because I think that I would get more freedom and I can help someone directly as opposed to just taking a picture to help them. In twenty years from now, I will be thirty-five and hopefully I would have a full-time job, possibly a car, an apartment if not a house, maybe a husband, and maybe a couple of kids nothing too extravagant. I am not too clear on my future but that’s alright because all I am doing next year is going into grade

Growing up I never had a clear idea of what I wanted to do as a profession. No inclination of something that amazed me or pushed me toward it. I eventually chose what I thought would be a good stable career simply because it would be a financially good choice but it never seemed like something I could stick with or love. I discounted anything from the medical field because everyone was going there and I didn't want to be a lost number of people rushing to the same career, I wanted to be a little different.…

When I was younger, people always asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I used to say things like a doctor, a lawyer, mainly the “big time” jobs that I saw when I watched television, However, I have always been fascinated by the medical field and all of its entirety. There are many different people and paths that can be taken upon in the medical field. There are physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and many more. The one thing that they all have in common is working to help others and that’s what really drew me to that field.…

As I look at my life path, including my career life and education, it has always been filled with diversity and changes, but the one thing that I always held at the center of my choices was my desire to find that spark within learners (of all ages) that when lit would help them to realize and achieve their full potential. At this point in my educational path, I would like to achieve certification to work in an area that I have been drawn to since I was in high school. I feel that my past experiences, my education to this point and my love for education will benefit those whose lives I am able to touch by pursuing teacher certification. My experience working with children of differing abilities actually began when I was still in high school and the school district offered me employement/job shadowing in what was then called the SMI room or severely mentally impaired room. Through this perspective, I find it easy to conclude that my life is a summation of all the experiences I have had. One step at a time, like a staircase, my life has been built and I attribute it all to how I have reacted to the different experiences I have had. We had driven for close to 7 hours, just to get to my grandparents home before dark. It was a long drive for sure, but my parents had tried to make it as comfortable as possible. As expected, at thirteen years old, I was trying to make the trip as difficult as possible.…
