I have always been cautious or slightly afraid of dogs, but after I was bitten by one, It was the same, but even more so. An example of this being when I went over to someone’s house and their dog jumped up on me, I felt extremely scared and started to cry. I was able to calm down, but it showed that this would bring up difficulties later in life. One way I could possibly be able resolve this would be to try and be around dogs for periods at a time and try to get used to them. Another solution would be to list reasons why I’m afraid of them, and focus on the difficulties. I could also use relaxation techniques when I’m around them if I’m stressed. This would help me in stressful situations with dogs in the future, such as if it jumps on me or barks loudly.
I wanted to make these resolutions to improve myself, as well as my year. My four resolutions are to 1- Exercise more, 2- Improve my time management, 3-Keep up with grades/get better grades, and to 4- Get over my fear of dogs. These are things that would make my life easier, but to actually create resolutions, you need to think “What do I want to improve in my life, what do I want to improve this year?” After you ask yourself, then do what you can to fix it.
