Personal Reflection: My Growth As A Student

It seems like second semester went by faster than the first semester. The beginning of this semester went by smoothly, but as time passed and got closer to the end of the school year, I began to face a lot of challenges, therefore making it difficult for me to keep up my pace. Some challenges I faced throughout the entire semester are time management and public speaking. Even though I had obstacles, I also had successes such as passing test with an A and keeping up with my SRC points. Throughout the entire semester, not only did I grow as a student, but as well as a global citizen. My prosthetic hand has helped me grow as a student; my aquaponic helped me grow as a global citizen. I grew as a student by gaining knowledge due to my prosthetic hand activity in DIY Girls. I always find the human body …show more content…
I learned from all my failures and successes. Thanks to DIY girls I am interested in working with orthotics and prosthetics. Orthotist and prosthetist are specifically trained to work with prostheses, such as artificial limbs and other body parts. They opened more career choices for me that I never thought about before. Being in H.O.P.E and contributing to the Aquaponics project, I am more aware of the environment and want to make a difference. The Aquaponic will push me to be eco-friendly and learn how to save the environment. Not only will I learn how to save the environment single-handed but as a team. Some action I can do is by starting at home. I can recycle, and save water by turning off the faucet when I do not need it and limit the time I take a shower. I will use a barrel to collect rain to use in the future to water my plants. There are so many things I can do in my home to save water and energy. In H.O.P.E, I learned working as a team is a great way to make a change. Protests, marches, and community clean ups are examples of teams working together to save the
