From the time I could remember until the eighth grade I had always had my mind set on being a veterinarian. I wanted nothing more than to work with animals. I have been around animals my whole life. I have had the chance to work very close with all sorts animals. Little did I know my plans would soon change.

In the summer of 2011 my mother began to have seizures. The night that my mom began to have seizures was very terrifying, my family and I had no idea what was going on. We had so many questions why was this happening all of a sudden was our biggest question and our most concerning question was how can we make the seizures stop. At my highschool we had career schools as a freshmen I switched out of the school of agriculture to the school of health to begin my journey to becoming a registered nurse. My junior year in high school I was given the chance to take a medical careers class that taught us all of the medical terminology and gave us a glimpse into what it is like to work in the health care field. I truly enjoyed this class my teacher was a retired registered nurse who taught me so many things about the medical field and what it takes to become a great nurse. My senior year in highschool I was given another chance to take a class called ROP Nursing this class gives you the opportunity to become a CNA while still in highschool and learn what it 's like to work in the health care field. My class and I were able to do clinical hours at Madera Rehab and Nursing center. These clinicals hours allowed me to gain so much knowledge on what it is really like to care for a patient not only did I learn from those working at the facility but I was able to learn so much from the patients
