I have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). This syndrome causes blood to pool in my limbs. Because of this, I experience dizziness, headaches, and fatigue along with a list of other problems. I have shown signs of POTS since I was two; however, it went undiagnosed until I was a freshman in high school. Unfortunately, this syndrome has a few downsides, one of which being that it has caused my grades to be lower than they should. Even though accommodations have been helpful, living with POTS has caused a few bumps in my academic career. It is a complicated syndrome that is hard to live with, but I am an overachiever who refuses to give up. My grades have been improving as I continue to learn how to balance my health, school, and work, and I will continue to better myself with both diligence and alacrity as I pursue my degree in
