My Career Plans In The Future

Decent Essays
For me, the future is kind of a mystery; I have no clue exactly what I will be doing after college or even what degree I will pursue. However, I do know that I will be helping others. I have always been very concerned for others and can easily see myself working with people. When I think about the courses I have taken so far, I find that I am drawn to the ones that relate to helping others and learning about people. I can see myself possibly working with either children or the elderly. I know that I will thrive in an environment where I am able to offer my support and skills to people in a way that positively impacts their lives. Because I do not have much work experience, I don’t know exactly all that I want from a job. I could quite easily see myself wanting to pursue multiple different careers after graduating before I commit to one job long term.

The impact that my work will have on my life will truly depend on the job. If I am able to find the work I am doing to be rewarding for myself, then I am confident that I will be dedicated and focused on my career. I also feel that work will be able to act as a driving force in my life. I hope that my job will push me to achieve goals and provide me with some purpose. While I know that I will most likely need to be employed for the majority of my life, ideally I see myself working for a roughly three or four years and then potentially pursuing a career at home that will allow me to focus on

When it comes to the future, I haven't made any definitive decisions, but I've been considering several ideas. What I do know for sure is that I want to attend a four year university, and I would like to receive at least a bachelor’s degree. In order to become an OT, you need to receive a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science field, as well as a graduate degree from an accredited university.…
