My Career Path That I Chose Essay

At my work I am trying to promote from within. I motivate myself to be successful in the career path that I chose. I always want to be the best that I can be and have always had a drive and passion for business and my career. Not only do I motivate myself, in addition, I receive motivation from my bosses, family, and professors with their words of encouragement and always there to mentor me along with being there when help is needed. Our book defines motivation as “the psychological forces that determine the direction of a person’s behavior in an organization, a person’s level of effort, and a person’s level of persistence.” (293).

As I am trying to promote from within there is a great deal that I have accomplished, but recently I did an exceptional job as I was being trained under my manager on what is known to be a difficult task which was a compliance checklist. The compliance checklist is done every quarter and consists of twenty pages that deals with sixty questions to make sure that we are being 100% in compliance. This task took us about three hours to complete. Input is “anything a person contributes to his or her job or organization.” (295). The input that I gave during my training of the compliance checklist was a thorough completed job, a positive attitude, and being willing and eager to learn this new task.
