There needs to be a plan and you must create your own path to accomplish anything that you desire in life. This especially applies to my career path which will be becoming an elementary school teacher. I have created 3 goals that are steps and checkpoints to strive and achieve my main goal. These goals that I have thoughtfully planned out include what I must accomplish through education. The goals that I have created throughout my career pathway will allow me to become successful to what I desire to be. To begin with, my first goal starts at what needs to be done here at Fullerton College. My first step is to complete my general education, and receive my AA or AS to transfer out. I know that it won’t be easy completing the credential program, but you have to be able to work through your goals and know that if you truly want something in life, you need to give it your best. It can take up to a year and a half to complete this program having your mind focused without distractions and being wise. Taking the CBEST is one of the many things needed to receive your credentials it is a test to meet requirements of laws relating to credentialing and employment. It is not an easy task a lot of studying and preparation is required for this test as well as for the program. The Credential Teaching Program will be the last step for me to become an elementary school teacher. It is the most difficult but rewarding step of Becoming an elementary school teacher, which is my main goal. To teach in a California Elementary School I will complete the Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have chosen this specific major because of my love for young children and becoming an elementary school teacher will allow me to show my interest in the education of many young children. I firmly believe the goals mentioned above will only benefit my path to become a teacher. My goals serve as an everyday reminder to work harder and to never give up. These next four years in college may be rough but I have faith I can overcome any obstacles. If I cannot be a role model to myself, then how can I be a role model to anyone else?
