Factors that will affect my decision for my future job could be the possible leading roles that will be available to me, the timing of my job (because a satisfactory sleep schedule ensures a better lifestyle), whether my work requires a more creative or statistical approach in resolving issues, and lastly if I need to travel to places …show more content…
Classes that will both increase my knowledge of technology as well as enhance my skills in business and speech are integral, because they will help me strengthen my knowledge for technology as well as aid me in conveying my message and myself to company executives. In order to strengthen my grasp of the mobile realm I must take courses such as computer science and introduce myself to programming. To work on my skills as a business related speaker I must also take classes related to business management, micro/macroeconomics, and speech. Other than high school courses, I feel that there should be more of an emphasis on extra-curricular activities. In addition I plan to start meditating after school too clear my mind as said that “you feel relaxed enough to contemplate your feelings, thoughts and issues of the day” (Schwarz 32). In addition, high school years are not only meant for the maturity of one’s aptitude, but are also a time to expand your social network and learn how to engage in activities with groups of people. As a student I feel like maintaining great relations with the people around my school will provide me with a healthier and happier lifestyle. Another advantage in increasing my social network can be the lasting relationships I can possibly have for the rest of my life. At the beginning of the semester I was somewhat intimated by the amount of course work that was expected of each student in this class. However, as time went on and I started to complete the assignments, it became clear how useful many of them were, particularly the resume and the career exploration paper. Both of these assignments were beneficial in their own way, despite the time and effort that went in to completing them according to the instructions. The resume and subsequent critiques from multiple sources yielded a professional document that is flawless and ready to be disseminated to potential employers after a minor customization to it based upon the job description and requirements. The career exploration assignment has taught me how…

To elaborate further on social cognitive career theory (SCCT), Hackett, Lent and Brown (2000) discussed strategies for which SCCT counselors should navigate through their clients’ career obstacles. First, Hackett et al.
