The career I have decided on is an Elementary School Teacher. I prefer this career because I feel that I can immensely influence children 's life by pursuing this career. I want to be able to help out kid 's at a young age so they can get in the habit of studying and enjoying school. Another reason is that when I was in elementary school, there was a teacher who made the class so much fun that I truly enjoyed going to school. I want to be able to accommodate children with that experience too. One thing that fascinates me about this career is that there is an artistic aspect. I am suited for this career because as asserted by the Strong Interest Inventory, my interest themes are artistic and social. That means that I like getting engaged working with, communicating with, and teaching people. I want to help and provide service to others. I also like working with shapes, designs and patterns. Some personality characteristics that I have, are optimistic, happy, kind, outgoing, and warm hearted. The position is for a Credentialed Substitute Teacher. The first thing that caught my eye was that in the job description it states, "THINK Together 's physical education program is designed to deliver the required PE activities, while relieving teachers from their classroom to attend either Data Reflection or Professional Development sessions and/or any meetings or training as required by the school or district." I never imagined that think together offered a physical education program. I always thought it was just a homework program so that was an eye opener. Another thing that took me by surprise was that one of the job requirements was being able to use Spreadsheets Excel Internet
