At first, I wasn’t sure what I was going to end up doing with my life. I was lost, and afraid that I would never amount to anything. But as of today, I have found my purpose in life. Using my exceptional math skills, I plan on starting my own accounting business. Math is something I enjoy; I can’t remember a time when I struggled with a problem. It would bring me great joy to get paid for doing what I love. Until I get to where I want to be in life, there are some goals I must achieve. My educational goal, I want to become a more motivated person. Ever since I can remember, school has been a drag. It’s hard for me to concentrate, which leads to bad grades. I wasn’t like my peers, I was never researching colleges and I wasn’t even trying hard enough to get there. The one year I stayed back really destroyed my attitude about school, after that I was just trying to “get by.” Therefore, now that I have made it to college, something I never thought would happen, I plan on trying my absolute best. My mindset has altered immensely. This goal is very important to me because I know my mother wants to see me be great in life. Every day and every night she calls me just to see how I’m doing, and that alone is enough to push me even more forward. I want to be able to understand concepts in college that I never understood in high school. My goal is at least a 3.6 GPA, or maybe 4.0 if I’m lucky. I plan on spending most of my free time studying and doing work in the library. I really appreciate how Valencia has a lot of resources I can use to better my education. I’ll make sure to take advantage of these resources because I know many schools don’t offer all that much. I feel extremely fortunate to be attending such a school as this …show more content…
I know that these strengths are going to help me in achieving my goals. When it comes to math, all you have to do is give me an example to one problem and I could do a whole page. The thing is, I’m only a fast learner with things I’m interested in. Other than that, my mind goes completely blank. But since the career I want is strictly math related, being a fast learner will come in handy. I also work well with others, put me in a group and I’ll lead the group to success. I’m amazing at taking charge and dealing with situations. That strength alone is going to benefit me greatly later in life. Lastly, I’m quite an organized person. You’ll never see a thing out of place in my house, everything is where I can find it and that’s all that matters. I make sure I have a separate notebook and folder for each of my subjects. My strengths are very important to me because they’re what will land me the job/career opportunities I
