This experiment made me realize that I would enjoy leading research. This experiment was different because it was the first time I had solely created a study from the ground up with a fellow student. We had a faculty advisor who guided us along the way but played a much less active role in the creation and cultivation of the experiment. This experiment was presented at the 34th Annual Mid-America Undergraduate Psychology Research Conference at Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana. Not only did these experiences solidified my desire to conduct research, they are experiences that helped shaped me as an undergraduate researcher. These experiences and my undergraduate career have helped me discover that I am very interested in social perceptions and attitudes as well as emotions. I would like to study the difference culturally between the three as well as across genders. I also hope one day to expand my research to include the effects of technology on human beings socially. I would hope to investigate any individual differences between races and socioeconomical statuses when it comes to the social effects of technology.
