I had come to understanding in my previous career that time management is very important. As a Non Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army this was constantly reinforced by my senior leadership. The way I managed my time would depend on the time allowed or the importance of the mission. I have noticed a stark contrast in myself today as go thru life. Seneca a Roman Philosopher said that people do not value time because it cannot be seen as a material item(50/2014,p.118). As I transitioned out of the military into the civilian job market I fell victim to this sentiment myself. Since beginning this education path I am realizing this attitude will need my attention.
