During my undergrad experience at Kutztown University my primary education of study was clinical psychology and sociology. However I was also involved in many activities that contribute to my learning along with additional extracurricular activities I roughly enjoyed throughout not only my college experience, but also throughout my high school education as well. Overall I had multiple experiences that contribute to my learning skills, which gave me a strong strength and appreciation for the field of psychology, along with weakness that provoked me to get additional help and or guidance. As for extracurricular activities, such as hobbies and or interest, my main passion involved dance. From the start of three years I’ve always enjoyed dance throughout my life. In fact throughout my High school career I was involved in two different dance studios, along with one competition team. While for my undergrad experience I joined the Kutztown University dance team in 2012, and became the Choreographer from the 2013-2016 academic years. Other extracurricular activities in which I enjoy that may also contribute to the psychology field would be helping others, such as volunteering at multiple organizations. In fact throughout high school I volunteered at multiple nursing homes, contributed clothing to homeless individuals, and provided dance class and lessons for children on the weekends. From these activities I acquired a strong passion for helping individuals, especially ones in needs, along with improving and helping out the community.

Initially, I came into my undergraduate studies at St. Ambrose University looking to become an Occupational Therapist, but that goal changed once I began my undergraduate coursework. Towards the end of a semester of research methods, I became fascinated with statistics and the process of research. In biopsychology classes, I learned how wonderful and sometimes cruel the human mind could be. Occupational Therapy suddenly seemed less interesting and I began to look more seriously at pursuing a different path, more in line with the amazing things I was learning about psychology, research, and the brain.…
