Megan Ward and Michelle Kuhnle were asked to perform a facilitation on their client Joshua Kenny on Monday, April, 28th. Josh came to us because he was having a hard time deciding on what to do after graduating. He was having trouble deciding if he should go back to school to complete his Master’s degree, enter the workforce with his current education or complete a certification in agriculture. After gathering key data from each of these three options and have Josh create some statement starters we were able to narrow down Josh’s vision for the future. In order to help the participants we had a PowerPoint presentation posted so members could follow along and look at it if they ever needed help. Michelle and Megan were also walking around and helping participants generate ideas if they ever got stuck. During this process we occasionally would check in with our client Josh and see what option or ideas he was leaning more towards. With all these considerations from each stage in the process, he decided which idea and pathway would be the best for him in the long run and the short term. His final statement in the facilitation was “i now see myself doing the master 's degree in Ireland.” As he would hope to make more money in the long run and receive higher job Status because of the masters. We ended up following up with josh after the fact and he had decided to change his answer to the following, “I now wish to take the agriculture degree as I now realize that my passion lies too deep into agriculture that I do not want to do anything else for the rest of my life.”
