My Brother's Waffles-Personal Narrative

It was a very dark and cloudy night when the rain and thunder echoed through the sky. It had been pouring down rain for about 3 hours now. John sat in his bed looking out the window, counting the lightning that followed the thunder. He thought he might of heard something outside besides the roaring thunder. John crept over to the back door and pushed the door open. He heard a mysterious noise. John turned the corner and saw the neighbor’s cat, Waffles. Waffles was an orange tabby cat that John loved so much because his parents wouldn’t let him get a cat. As he saw Waffles rummaging through their trash he thought he had seen a slight glimmer in the sky above. John kept watching a while after to see if he was just hallucinating. After he realized it was nothing he sighed and picked up Waffles and brought him inside to shield him …show more content…
“What?” Louis replied. “You too.” John exclaimed.
“What is it?”
“Forget it.”
John left for class, and he walked in tired. Considering John had only gotten 4 hours of sleep he wasn't exactly awake. He was only about 30 minutes into his first class when he saw the glimmer again! This time it looked about the size of an apple a foot away!
John looked around the classroom. No one was talking no one was doing anything other than what they would usually do. The bell rang and John left class and headed to the next. He arrived at his seat and sat down next to Louis and Andrew.
John finally told them what was bothering him, and they made fun of him for the rest of the class.
When John was in the middle of a test, he spotted the glimmer. It now filled the whole sky. John stood up and ran to the door. Louis yelled “Wait for me! Take me with you! I lied I don’t like tests!” Louis jumped on John’s back, and they rode off.
“What are you doing?” John asked.
“What are you doing?” Louis replied.
John was still running with Louis on his back.“I don’t know I’m just going where my heart tells me.” John said.
