The novel I read is titled My Brother Sam is Dead and is written by Christopher Collier and James Lincoln Collier. The main character is Tim Meeker. Tim Meeker is a young boy who lives in Redding, Connecticut. He lives in the time of the Revolution. Tim does not care about politics, but his father is a loyalist like most people. Sam, his brother, is very headstrong and butts heads with his father about the war.Sam is not afraid to voice his opinions, and this causes him to eventually be forced out from the family house. Sam leaves Redding to fight. Sam becomes a delivery person, he delivers spy letters. The last time Sam returns home, he is framed for stealing cattle. His own army executes him as a warning to soldiers who might do the same
