Bittersweet memories
During my senior high school time, year 2010-2012, that is the time where most of my unforgettable memories come from, participating in a group of hip hop dance with my 3 members of my schoolmates, compete in many local schools, made a performance in my school’s event, even though we didn’t win the first place in the competition, the time we spend together is what matters. Also, I had a very best friend, a girl, named Ria, that time is the first time I had such a really caring, kind, female friend. Since then, we spend most of our time together to go to mall, celebrate events, and many more.
In my final year of high school, 2012, is the year that I really dream of, that is to go to America to study for the first time, and

During that time I did not have my own laptop yet, so I borrow my cousin’s laptop to do the campus work, my dad saw that and he decided to buy me my own laptop by the recommendation of my cousin, Jonathan. Since I got my own laptop, I feel like I’m getting absorbed by it, because Jonathan introduced me to some cool video games, and told me to play together with him, so I follow him and we play and have fun together. One day he took me to a church community where he often came there and he introduced me to the church family group, and they really accepted me even though I’m really shy and quiet the whole time, until I saw my old school friend who was there also, then I’m really shocked and astonished, how could he be here, he introduced me to his close friends that turns into my campus friends also. Once I know all of that coincidence, then I’m starting to open up my heart to the church and go to prayer meeting and gathering, also I attend the cell group the church made; in each area they had a group. In my area the group is called Amplified, I really had so much fun being in the community, and of course a lot of memories are being made there. I remember our group went to a really good smoothies café, and the smoothies that I bought the taste is the best, also to a Chinese restaurant that had …show more content…
For the good memories, every time all my classes are finished, my friends and I went to a nearby restaurant by local bus to eat while experiencing the public transport itself, it is pretty nice though. In the evening on the way home we took free popcorn and sprinkle as many cheese or salt powder as we want near the cafeteria. Then for the bad one is, in my second quarter I started to get really addicted to my online video games, I play it so much like 10-15 hours a day, only got cut by the dinner and shower time, aside from that, I sat on that sacred chair to continue my game, I slept in 3 am in the morning and wake up at 12 noon time, doesn’t care if I had classes or not, I take a shower and again sat on that sacred chair to play the game for 10 until 20 rounds I think, in short, at my campus, I’ve been called to go to the academic consultant to discuss about my grades from the past 3 quarters, I’ve been warned by them to let go my habit and start to change to a new positive habit, I didn’t take their advice seriously that time. And then, summer holiday comes, my friend and I went back to Indonesia for a holiday, each of us have fun with each of our friends, after roughly one month passed, we decided to go back to the States to continue our study together, travel 18 hours for the third time, then we had to pass through the immigration

Moving schools away from all of my friends should’ve been an appalling experience, surprisingly, it was a blessing in disguise. I went to Agnes Baptist Elementary from kindergarten to 5th grade and I had friends that I've known since I was 3. I loved it there and knew the school like the back of my hand. Everything was superior, like most good things, though there were times where they weren’t, I was harassed by a bully almost everyday, my grades were getting inadequate, and my mom didn’t want me to be a sad, disconsolate 7th grader at a new junior high. In the result, I moved and I went to Savage Middle School, a school that had 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.…

Through my experience, my freshman and sophomore years as a musician were terrifying. On top of the shock of the new atmosphere at school, I had to play my instrument with and in front of others, which was quite a stretch for me at the time. I would always beat myself up about minute mistakes I had glorified during rehearsals, playing tests, and especially auditions. However, after I did not make an Illinois Allstate ensemble my junior year, my approach to these nerve-wracking situations completely changed. Instead of thinking failing negatively, those uncomfortable experiences actually made me improve as I had taken more auditions.…
